The Lipari School on Computational Life Sciences (http://liparischool.it/LipariSchool/Bio/) is a leading international school on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedicine and Biotechnology .
Running annually since 2004, it currently attracts every year over 100 participants, the best talents and academia, including Nobel prizes.
The purpose of the school is to make all efforts to expose young researchers to the forefront of research activity in the field of Bioinformatics and Biomedicine. That's why we organize a series of formal lectures given by recognized authorities in the field and tutorial sessions. The aim and scope of the tutorials is to provide knowledge that is perceived as fundamental both by a young scientist willing to become scientifically active in the field and by a young scientist simply willing to get acquainted with the area. The formal lectures and the tutorials will be tailored to an interdisciplinary audience.
The 2016 school will focus on Microbiology and Microbiome-Based Medicine. Furthermore the most advanced metagenomics and Next Generation Sequencing techniques (NGS) will be extensively treated.
