This tutorial will focus on many new applications of personal and population genomics, and how mathematics will play a role in this revolution. We will address several areas: (1) Novel personal genome sequencing and assembly technologies: Optical Sequencing, SUTTA, and SMASH, (2) Novel human polymorphisms and their coalescence dynamics: CNVs and SVs, and (3) Novel Phenotyping in Genome Wide Association Studies: GOALIE and AITIA.
